Inspired by the traditional craft of pattern making. The open darts design allows movement and breathability to the soft structured 100% cotton shell and lining.
Inspired by my time reading Helen Joseph-Armstrong’s Pattern Making for Fashion Design, the design features pattern makers marks such as the "cut on fold" and "grainline" marks and black velvet ribbons signifying the thread commonly used to sew up darts. The garment opens with a YKK zipper on the side seam.
