The Moss Pant explores the ongoing conversation between infrastructure and growth. Painted pavement textures create a foundation from which felted moss forms emerge, referencing the moments where nature slowly reclaims the surfaces we build and maintain.
Inspired by walks through Washington's moss-covered landscapes, the piece reflects on the ways natural systems continue to participate in places designed around human convenience. What appears permanent is constantly being rewritten. Growth, decay, and renewal exist simultaneously.
