The Knit Chainlink Corset explores the relationship between hard and soft systems.

Inspired by the structure of chainlink fencing, the piece combines steel wire and cotton yarn to reinterpret an industrial material through textile construction. What is typically rigid, protective, and utilitarian becomes flexible, intimate, and worn close to the body.

Throughout Archeology, infrastructure is treated as a record of human behavior. The chainlink motif appears as both boundary and connection—simultaneously separating spaces while linking them together. By translating that language into knit form, the corset softens an object commonly associated with restriction and transforms it into something personal.

The result is a garment that exists between structure and softness, protection and vulnerability, industry and craft.
