Inspired by the tall grasses lining the edges of Interstate 5, the hand painted I Am Nature Shirt imagines complete immersion within the landscape.
Hand-painted forms rise through the garment like grasses reaching toward the sky. The piece was inspired by the experience of standing within a field so completely that the distinction between body and environment begins to disappear. Grass, air, movement, and horizon merge into a single moment.
Rather than positioning nature as something outside ourselves, the garment proposes a different relationship: one in which we are participants within it.
