Constructed from reclaimed telephone wire, Ethernet 1 transforms discarded technology into a wearable form.
The piece began with a simple observation: a conference table covered in ethernet cords weaving around one another in a beautiful mess. What first appeared as visual inspiration became a reflection on technological growth and the material consequences of progress. As systems evolve, they leave behind physical evidence—obsolete cables, outdated devices, and discarded infrastructure.
Ethernet 1 reclaims those materials and returns them to visibility. The same wires once used to connect people, ideas, and information are transformed into a garment that continues that function in a different way. Through fashion, the material remains a vehicle for connection.
