Unlike many pieces in Archeology, the Earth Dress does not focus on the interaction between human-made objects and nature. Instead, it centers the earth itself. Embroidered roots emerge from the base of the gown and grow upward, expressing the quiet force of the ground beneath us and the systems of support that make growth possible.
