Grace Ryan
Founder and Creative Director
“I make art for people who aren’t afraid to stand out and follow their own path. History is defined by those who follow their curiosity.”
Grace Ryan is an artist and designer focused on creating moments of self, community, and place connection through art-based garments and furniture. Grace's work is awaked through daily observation of the city of Seattle and invites viewers to enter her imagination and see the ordinary transformed into the extraordinary.
Grace is the founder of Dollhou3e, fashion for future makers. She has designed garments for WNBA players and musical artists, collaborated with celebrity stylists, shown photography at Base Camp Studios 1, and harnessed her design expertise to advise and support the safety of mechanics at global aircraft manufacturer Boeing. Grace has a degree in Industrial Design B.S. from Virginia Tech, where she received the Calhoun Honors Discovery Grant. Grace has cultivated a unique perspective and style by taking a visionary response to contemporary urban realities.
Grace's primary inspirations are graffiti, layered advertisement wheat pastings, nature reclaiming urban structures, human habits, and interactions. This year, Grace plans to produce her second collection with Dollhou3e, exploring societies' relationship to physical timelines through human-made matter. She will also continue growing her influence in the arts community by inspiring Seattleites to engage with and nourish the vibrant and growing energy of the Seattle downtown art scene.
“Thank you for being here. I am so grateful to share my work with you”
